Know what you are getting

The RAW is developed with the camera white balance and standard settings into an 8-bit image. That is a solid starting point but not a full RAW workflow: you cannot recover highlights or change exposure the way you can in RAW software. For that kind of work, edit the RAW in a dedicated program and export from there.
